Overseas registrations are being facilitated by the Fiji Missions abroad. The Fijian Elections Office has provided training to the staff of the Fiji Missions abroad who are now providing voter services to people in the lead up to the 2022 General Election. Announcements regarding any overseas visits by the FEO for voter registration purposes will be updated on this page.

The FEO conducted voter registration drives in New Zealand and Australia between 15 May to 25 May, 2022. 

Anyone who:
1.Has reached the age of 18 years;
2.Is a citizen of Fiji;
3.Is not serving a sentence of imprisonment of 12 months or longer imposed by a court of law in Fiji or another country;
4. Under a law in force in Fiji, is not declared to have a mental disorder;
 
We are able to assist in any of the following:
  1. New registrations – Form
  2. Update or correction of voter details – Form
  3. Replacement of Electronic Voter Registration [EVR] card – Form
For new registrations, we will need you to complete a Voter Registration and Update Form and submit the following to your nearest Voter Registration Centre:
  1. Fijian Birth Certificate or Certificate of Citizenship
  2. A valid Fijian passport.
The ‘Voter Registration and Update Form’ will need to be completed for the following requests:
  1. Update of your residential address
  2. Change in your name
  3. Correction in the date of birth
  4. Replacement of lost/stolen EVR card

Once you have been successfully registered as a voter you will be issued a VoterCard.

  2. A registered voter who is unable to travel to a Polling Station due to serious illness, religious beliefs or work commitments.
  3. A registered voter who is under pre-trial detention or sentence of imprisonment.

The following are eligible to apply:

  1. A registered voter who is living outside of Fiji or will be outside of Fiji on Polling Day.

To apply, as a Postal Voter, you can either;

  1. Collect the Postal Voting Application Form from any of our VSC’s, Divisional or Area Offices or from the FEO HQ, fill out all the necessary details and drop your application form at any of our offices; or
  2. Download the Postal Voting Application Form from https://services.feo.org.fj/postal, fill out all the necessary details and upload the form together with a copy of your VoterCard to the link: https://services.feo.org.fj/postal.

[On the Postal Voting Application Form, we require voters to provide us their name, as is shown on their VoterCard. Voters can use either the Green or Blue VoterCard to apply]

The FEO will start receiving Postal Voting Applications once the date of Election is announced and applications will close no later than 5:00pm, on the 23rd Day after the issue of Writ.

Once the application is approved, the FEO will send each Postal Voter one (1) Postal Voting Package. All Postal Ballots must reach the FEO Headquarters no later than 6:00pm on Election Day.
