People First has been registered as Fiji’s newest political party after the Registrar of Political Parties, Ms. Ana Mataiciwa approved the party’s application submitted on Thursday, 20 November 2025.
Ms. Mataiciwa confirmed that four (4) objections were received in relation to the application.
“The objections related to the use of the party name, party symbol, and the content of the party constitution. After due assessment, all four objections were dismissed. However, the Objectors have 14 days from today to appeal by decision to the Electoral Commission,” said the Registrar of Political Parties.
There are now eight (8) registered political parties with the FEO.
