Local Government Elections

What is the Local Government Elections?

Fiji currently has 13 Municipalities, which include 2 Cities and 11 Towns;

  • Cities: Suva and Lautoka.
  • Towns: Ba, Labasa, Lami, Levuka, Nadi, Nasinu, Nausori, Rakiraki, Savusavu, Sigatoka, and Tavua.

Each municipality has its own government, called a Municipal Council, responsible for making decisions that impact your community. Local Government Elections allow you to decide who will represent and serve you in your municipality for the next three (3) years.
