The Registrar of Political Parties has this afternoon received the application for registration by the proposed ‘We Unite Fiji Party’.

In accordance with the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding & Disclosures) Act, the Registrar will now process the application.

The Registrar of Political Parties had earlier received the party’s application on 07 February 2022, which was later rejected.

In his assessment of the application, the Registrar found that the Party failed to meet the minimum required members for Northern and Central Divisions in accordance to Section 10 (2)of the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding and Disclosures) Act 2013.
