I warmly welcome you to this Training of Trainers for Voter Registration and acknowledge the Voter Registration Department, our training facilitators, operations teams and everyone who has worked to bring us together this morning.
As we move closer to the upcoming General Election, the work we do at every level of the FEO matters.
Next month, our teams will undertake the Nationwide Voter Registration Exercise across the country. Before they go out into our communities, we must ensure they are equipped with the knowledge, confidence and discipline to do their jobs well.
And that responsibility begins with each of you.
You are not here simply as participants. You are here as trainers and leaders. What you learn here will be taken back to your respective divisions, and your teams will look to you for direction, clarity and confidence.
Voter registration is the foundation of a credible electoral process. An accurate and inclusive Voter Register ensures that every eligible Fijian can participate in our elections.
So, over these next three days, learn with purpose.
Ask questions. Challenge yourselves. Master the procedures, systems and standards. When you return to your divisions, ensure that what you have learned here is passed on clearly, accurately and consistently.
Regardless of where our registration teams are deployed, the standard must remain the same: professionalism, neutrality, accuracy and service to the public.
The General Election will demand the very best from all of us. This training is about strengthening that readiness and ensuring that the same confidence, competence and high standards are carried through to every registration team across the country.
We know our responsibility.
We know what is expected of us.
Now, we must deliver.
