The Acting Supervisor of Election (ASoE) Ms. Ana Mataiciwa reminded the staff of the Fijian Elections Office (FEO) that the FEO is not only an organization but a home as well.

In celebrating Father’s Day, Ms. Mataiciwa said that the FEO is blessed to have fathers and father role models.

“The FEO is blessed to have fathers and father role models because they give us the attention needed with great compassion. I therefore salute all our fathers and I thank you for your commitment, sacrifice and loyalty.”

“I would like to remind us all that the FEO is not only an organization or an office, it’s also a home. Therefore, it is important that we acknowledge each other not only as colleagues, but also as family members. I also urge us to have every day a Father’s Day,” Ms. Mataiciwa stated.

Ms. Mataiciwa also urged the staff who still had their fathers around, to continue to love them and care for them.

“To us that are fortunate enough to still have our Father around please continue to honor them so that your days may me long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you, as explained in Exodus 20:12”.

“Fathers to us is our first super hero, someone who will always protect us, hides his pain to make us smile, the first prince charming in every girl’s life, someone whose love never ends, always believes in us, guides us on the right path and sacrifices for us”.

“We know that this could be so much for a Father to handle and we know that you are only human and would need encouragement as well so we will encourage you with Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go,” said the ASoE.

A special morning tea was prepared for the fathers at the FEO.
