The Fijian Elections Office [‘FEO’] this morning commenced its Business House Voter Registration Drive at the State House with the updating of His Excellency, the President Jioji Konrote and the First Lady, Madam Sarote Konrote’s VoterCards.
The Business House Voter Registrations have already been booked by 96 organizations. This number includes 57 business houses in the Central Division and 39 in the Western Division. The FEO will be sending teams to each organization in order to facilitate voter registration and other voter related services such as the updating and upgrading of VoterCards. This exercise will ensure that these services are delivered to approximately 8,696 voters in both the Central and the Western Division.
The Supervisor of Elections Mr Mohammed Saneem says “In the meantime, registration at Voter Services Centers [‘VSC’] continue and Fijians can pop-in at any time convenient to them during VSC opening hours to upgrade or to update their VoterCards.”
“As at 9am this morning (19 October 2021) the FEO still has 36 slots in the Western Division and 18 slots in the Central Division for business houses to make a booking,” Mr Saneem says.
