Bula Vinaka and a victorious afternoon to everyone.
I am delighted to be here on behalf of the Supervisor of Elections to close the iTrain 101 – Foundation of Training of Trainers Course.
Over the past four days, you have invested your time, embraced new learning, and strengthened your knowledge, skills, and confidence as trainers. This programme has provided you with valuable insights into effective training methods, facilitation techniques, and the responsibilities that come with being an internal trainer.
A strong organisation is built by capable and confident people who are willing to share their knowledge and develop others. By investing in internal trainers, the Fijian Elections Office continues to strengthen its institutional capability and ensure consistency in delivering quality training across the organisation.
The knowledge and skills you have gained will play an important role in preparing our staff and election officials for future electoral activities. However, being a trainer is about much more than delivering information. It is about creating understanding, building confidence, and empowering others to perform their roles effectively.
As newly accredited trainers, you now carry an important responsibility. Continue to apply what you have learned, embrace every opportunity to facilitate learning, and contribute to the professional growth of your colleagues. Remain open to feedback, continue refining your skills, and never stop learning. The true success of this programme will be measured not by these four days, but by the impact you make when you return to your different departments.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the Learning and Development Department for planning and delivering this programme. Thank you to our facilitators for your commitment, professionalism, and dedication in guiding participants throughout the course.
I also acknowledge the Directors and Heads of Departments for supporting their staff and recognising the importance of developing a strong pool of accredited trainers within the FEO.
Finally, to all participants, thank you for your enthusiasm, commitment, and active participation throughout the week. Congratulations on successfully completing the iTrain 101 – Foundation of Training of Trainers Course. I am confident that you will carry these skills forward and help strengthen our organisation’s learning culture.
With those remarks, I congratulate you once again, and I wish you all the very best as you begin your journey as FEO trainers.
Vinaka Vakalevu.
