FEO News

A total of 26 participants from the Fijian Elections Office (FEO) are part of the four-day training of the iTrain 101: Foundational Training of Trainers Course.

While opening the training course yesterday, Supervisor of Elections Ms Ana Mataiciwa said over the next four days, participants will embark on an important journey, one that will strengthen not only individual capabilities, but also the FEO’s ability to develop confident, competent and effective teams.

“The quality of our trainers directly influences the quality of our people and, ultimately, the quality of our operations. As trainers, we do more than simply deliver information. We have the responsibility to transfer knowledge, develop skills, build confidence and empower our people to perform their roles to the highest possible standard, said Ms Mataiciwa.

“The iTrain 101 training program has been designed to equip you with the fundamental principles and practical skills required to effectively plan, deliver, and evaluate training.

“More importantly, it is an opportunity for you to grow, not only as trainers, but as facilitators, communicators, mentors, and leaders within the FEO.”

The SoE urged participants to approach these four days with an open mind and willingness to learn.

The four-day training will conclude on Friday.
