The FEO offers a variety of programmes that give individuals and communities the opportunity to participate meaningfully in the electoral process. Through initiatives such as the Community Elections Advocates Program, voter awareness workshops, and stakeholder dialogues, we work to ensure that civic engagement is inclusive, accessible, and relevant to all Fijians. These programmes empower citizens to better understand their rights and responsibilities and contribute to strengthening public confidence in elections. One of our flagship initiatives is the School Elections Toolkit, a programme designed to help secondary schools run their own student council or student leaders’ elections using real electoral procedures. This hands-on approach teaches students the value of democracy, leadership, and active citizenship from a young age.
